Supercars star and All Saints alumnus Broc Feeney (Class of 2020) swung back through the school gates this week, a visit that made front and back-page news.
Ahead of this weekend’s Gold Coast 500, Broc spent time with Junior School students, sharing advice on chasing big goals from a small starting point. He also caught up with the school’s SuperGEMS Girls in Motorsport team, whom he called “the real superstars” of the day.
The Girls Behind the Wheel
The Year 9 and 10 students have been digging into the science and engineering that make motorsport work, as part of a Griffith University and Supercars STEM initiative. Aerodynamics, mechanics and performance data are no longer just textbook topics for this group. They are the foundations of a sport that fills grandstands.
This weekend, the team heads trackside to see it all in action.
From the Classroom to the Grid
Broc’s visit was a neat full-circle moment: a former student who made it to the top of Australian motorsport, standing in front of the students now exploring the same world from the engineering side. For the girls in particular, seeing a graduate of their own school at the sharp end of the sport makes the pathway feel real and reachable.
Thanks for stopping by, Broc. We’ll be cheering you on this weekend.
